03Your lighting workflows

Quoting, products, stock and service

Start with NetSuite and your workflows.

With NetSuite as JD Lighting’s ERP, we’ll establish what it manages, what connects to it and where staff work outside it. Management interviews, staff feedback and focused system reviews will establish the current state before we recommend changes.

NetSuite and connected systems

Map the NetSuite modules and processes you use, alongside your website, CRM, POS and other software. Trace product, price, stock and order information to identify duplicate entry, manual transfers and integration gaps.

Trade and project quoting

Walk through how your team prepares lighting packages, applies trade pricing, checks availability and finds alternatives. Identify delays and opportunities to assist quote preparation while retaining staff approval.

Products, suppliers and inventory

Review how specifications, supplier prices, lead times and stock are maintained. Explore purchasing, replenishment and slow-moving stock processes, including spreadsheets used alongside NetSuite.

Customer service and reporting

Trace how staff answer order, delivery, availability and warranty enquiries. Review the information managers need and the effort involved in bringing reports together across systems.

Staff AI use and governance

Identify AI tools, built-in features, personal accounts and licence costs. Review approvals, policies, information handling, human checks and training, including how product advice and commercial information are handled.

Infrastructure and access

Work with your IT provider to understand hosting, networks, identity, access controls, backups and support arrangements. Establish the constraints and access needed for potential integrations.

Included coverage

One business · Detailed review of up to 10 core systems · Up to six stakeholder interviews · Staff and management questionnaires

The inventory can include all disclosed systems. NetSuite is included within the 10 core systems. Detailed review uses supplied information, walkthroughs and selected configuration reviews; connected products, available access and integration options will be confirmed during discovery.

A practical set of next steps.

You receive findings you can act on, with clear priorities for your team and IT provider.

AI opportunities we’ll investigate

  • Product and quote assistance: retrieve verified specifications and prepare draft product lists using approved pricing and availability sources.
  • Customer reply assistance: draft answers from authorised order and fulfilment information, with staff review.
  • Supplier information processing: extract specifications and proposed product updates from supplier documents for approval.
  • Management reporting: reduce manual work combining operational information from NetSuite and other systems.

These are assessment candidates. Feasibility, benefits and implementation costs will be evaluated; building these solutions is outside the assessment fee.

From discovery to direction.
